Welcome to day eight of our 12 Days of SwitchUp – 12 videos leading up to Christmas Eve and covering a variety of topics related to all things Switch, done in a podcast style so we can just chat, basically! Today’s topic is about 12 games that take on a sci-fi theme in terms of story. It doesn’t matter what genre the games themselves belong to, as long as the overall theme is centered around science fiction. Which games made the list? Let’s find out… #New #NintendoSwitch #Games Many thanks to Dave Morrish of Savedex Gaming for his help in editing this video. 1. Annoyingly, I thought of a game that I had in mind for this list but completely forgot about by the time we came to write it and that's Huntdown. Please consider it an honorary member of this video as it should most certainly have been on here. Please do let us know any of your favourite science fiction games for the Switch in the comments section!

    Happy gaming! Glen and Mark.

  2. Awesome list. I'd add Warframe to it. Looks great. Plays great (if you don't mind grindy games). It's got a fantastic world / lore with a lot of mystery that the devs slowly uncover with each major update. Even got some Warhammer 40k elements in there. The game modes are solid and fun (action, stealth, aerial / underwater, starship battles), but a bit disjointed. Though the devs have been trying hard to mash each into each other as the updates come in.

  3. Having been following gaming closely for a few years. Are we really at a point where EA is praised for when it released Crysis and Mass Effect? I enjoyed Mass Effect and even plenty of EA's sorts titles but EA didn't do niche games. EA where still a company focused on making block busters which aim at a low common denominator.

  4. So, I saw the video, went and bought State of Mind and you were right.
It's a lot more on the sci-fi visual novel field, but it looks great and the story really hooks you, and for that very frequently low sale price!
    Definitely worth it, thank you!

  5. When I first bought State of Mind I was pretty disappointed that it was mostly a interactive story game but the more you play it the better it gets since it has a pretty good story.

  6. I wish they would release a physical copy for Alien Isolation. They price for the digital copy is just too much, even when it gets a discount. I think it would get the credit it deserves if they do.

  7. Something that has taken most of my life to discover: I enjoy sci-fi, but "SPACE" is an absolute turnoff to me. I'll take a sci-fi adventure with *PEOPLE*, ships, space-pirates, etc etc, over "explore the infinite vastness of space". I heard that introverts tend to be more into space, and as I've become more extroverted, I've realized I'm too interested in people to want to jump into the vast emptiness of space.

  8. I really need to try Hyper Light Drifter again. I sort of gave up on it as it was getting too difficult for me. I will say the artwork in this game is AMAZING and it is a very well made game.
