League of Legends is no stranger to bugs and glitches, as players have seen their fair share of outrageous exploits used and abused. While some of these issues are just fun and ridiculous, like visual bugs, some are game-breaking, which could essentially ruin the experience for everyone. One of the most recent exploits with players tearing their hair out involves the king of the river himself, who sees the Tahm Kench traveling a distance he shouldn’t be able to travel.
Tahm Kench World Teleportation Feat
Many players were confused when they started seeing Tahm Kench suddenly appear in the alcove on the side of the bot when he was just in top lane a few seconds ago while his summoner spell of teleport was on cooldown. Unfortunately, this feat exploits Tahm’s Abyssal Diving, which should only allow him to travel short distances. The bug sees the skill being used to travel to and from the four extreme corners of the map.
The ridiculous feat shows how Tahm Kench can travel between the two alcoves and areas near each team’s fountain. This insane long distance journey can be done using Abyssal Dive at any of the four extreme corners of the map. This bug essentially allows Tahm Kench to return to lane immediately after recalling or doing unexpected ganks on the other lane through their alcoves. At worst, players can use this exploit to hijack the enemy base by teleporting near their Nexus.
The full extent of the bug is limited to alcoves and enemy bases, as Tahm Kench cannot TP to jungle camps or the mid lane. However, players can devour one of their teammates and bring them into the outrageous range of deep diving. Currently, it is unclear if the bug has been fixed.
It appears the bug appeared after the most recent League of Legends patch, and it’s unclear if Riot is aware of this issue or if there have been any attempts to fix the bug. Players should remember that using exploits is condemned by developers and can get you in trouble if you are ever caught abusing them.
The abyssal dive of Tahm Kench
Previously, Tahm Kench’s teleport was designated as his ultimate, but it was later changed to Devour due to the latter’s greater effectiveness in combat. While Abyssal Dive, a core ability, moved his kit around him, eating enemies and teammates, this greatly improved Tahm’s roam ability as it had a lower cooldown. This revamp made TK more suitable as a top-laner due to its maneuverability on the map.
Since Abyssal Dive now had a lower cooldown after his minor readjustment, the exploit regarding this ability made him the strongest champion in terms of roaming abilities. He can mess with his botlaners and get back to the top side quickly without suffering the consequences of leaving his lane. Avoid matches against a Tahm Kench until the bug has a confirmed fix.
Another recent Tahm Kench bug
Tahm Kench has been subject to numerous bugs since its introduction in 2015. The River King was also subject to another glitch the year before, which involved his all-consuming skill. Some players have found that using Tahm’s ultimate on an ally targeted by Sett’s Ult will force them to stick with the Boss. This would result in the death of the target partner as they cannot separate from enemy Sett.
This bug will also continue even if the Sett is the one that dies first. The ally that Tahm spews will also be transported to the enemy’s spawn point when the murderer revives. This will cause the teammate to die after being killed by the enemy fountain. Luckily, this bug was eventually fixed, as there have been no reports of it happening again since 2022.
Countless League of Legends bugs over the years
Over the years, tons of glitch have graced the field of Summoner’s Rift. Some of them have even appeared on international stages, such as the Worlds. Here are some of the most notable and famous exploits to appear over the years:
Neeko Turret
100% Cooldown Reduction Poppy Baron Push Unlimited Viego MS Astronaut Skin Space Trips Azir Unlimited Tower Spawn T-Pose Aphelios Invincible Karthus Draven-Illaoi Exploit Darius TP Kill
Some are hilarious to watch, but some are ridiculously overpowered if abused. However, players should beware as using exploits is a banable offense. Unless you want to receive a scar on your League of Legends account, it is strongly advised to avoid using issues and report them if you discover them.
