Obvious highlights included a release date for the highly anticipated Oxenfree 2, as well as a first look at Blasphemous 2, but below is a full breakdown of everything featured during the broadcast.
Mineko Night Market
Meowza Games’ charming Mineko Night Market is both a narrative adventure and a social simulation, all inspired by Japanese culture. It promises a mix of exploration, puzzle solving and village life – and cats! – as the player prepares for a weekly visit to the titular Night Market. After a long wait, this one finally has a release date and is coming to Switch on September 26th.

My time at Sandrock
Developer Panthea Games’ follow-up, well-received My Time at Portia, brings yet another aid to the life-simulation action, this time shifting from the original’s idyllic island setting to a post-apocalyptic wasteland 300 years after most of world technology has been destroyed. Alongside the usual farming and socializing, Sandrock features more elaborate combat for scavenging missions in ancient ruins, mini-games, and more. Expect this one on Switch “this summer.”

PlateUp!
Despite obvious similarities to the much-loved Overcooked, PlateUp aims to carve out its own niche by adding a mix of rogue-like progression and cooking management to its chaotic top-down co-op cooking action. Essentially, after each successfully completed “team”, in which up to four players must work together to fulfill customer orders, players can rearrange their kitchen and apply all unlocked upgrades to improve efficiency and automation at the start of the next shift. PlateUp is coming to Switch in October.

Calico Quilts and Cats
Quilts and Cats of Calico is an adaptation of the famous Calico tile-laying board game. The basic premise is that players must lay down patches in order to create combinations of colors and patterns that form quilts that look good and, most importantly, attract cats. Local and online multiplayer for up to three friends is supported, and the game also features ranked matches against random players, weekly challenges, chat customization, and more. This one will be released on Switch this fall.

Necrodancer’s Rift
Announced last August, Rift of the Necrodancer is a standalone rhythm game set in the same universe as the famous Crypt of the Necrodancer. Rift, however, is quite different from its predecessor, trading up-and-down rhythm-based dungeon crawling for Guitar-Hero-like lane combat where players must battle a host of monsters with varying movement patterns. . It features five characters, each with their own mini-games and scenarios, and will be released later this year.

animal wells
Animal Well is a pixel-art Metroidvania from developer Shared Memories that sees players exploring a surreal and dangerous maze filled with secrets and animals. There are puzzles to solve, new abilities to acquire, and it’s designed as a “layered experience” where dedicated players can uncover more elaborate puzzles and secrets – some of which might go unnoticed for years or require the community collaboration to be resolved. Animal Well was released this “winter” on Switch.

The time of the crime
Crime O’Clock from developer Bad Seed is a point-and-click style jaunt through time in which players attempt to prevent crimes before they happen by scouring large, evolving maps in search of clues. Each card represents one of five interconnected eras – the Steam Age, the Atlantean Age, the Information Age, the Lost Age and the Aeon Age – and the resolution of different cases in each, through a combination of action and puzzles, will advance the story. Crime O’Clock features 40 cases to solve across time and space and is coming to Switch on June 30.

Teslagrad 2
The sequel to 2013 developer Rain Games’ physics-based puzzler, Teslagrad 2 delivers another blast of enigmatic platforming action where players – in the role of a young Teslamancer named Lumina – must harness the power electromagnetic to overcome challenges and defeat powerful creatures as they explore a wild and untamed land. The beautiful Teslagrad 2 launches today on Switch and is joined by the upgraded Teslagrad Remastered. They’re available to buy separately on the Switch eShop or as a two-game bundle.

shadows on hate
Shadows Over Loathing, the sequel to developer Asymmetric’s 2017 comedy Wild West comedy West of Loathing, sends players on an open-world adventure to find their Uncle Murray – an investigation that soon takes a turn with the discovery of a dark character. plot of distinctly eldritch origins threatening to bring about the end of the world. Shadows Over Loathing launches today on the Switch eShop, and a physical version will arrive in the fall.

Blasphemous 2
18 months after developer The Game Kitchen announced it was working on a sequel to its gorgeous gothic action platformer Blasphemous, a the first trailer has been released. Blasphemous 2 sees the return of the pointy-hat protagonist of its predecessor, The Penitent One, for more Souls-esque Metroidvania action – this time bolstered by distinctive new weapons – and it’s coming to Switch this summer.

Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals
It’s been a long wait for Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals, but developer Night School Studio has finally confirmed that it will launch on July 12. This second supernatural adventure centers on new protagonist Riley Poverly, who returns to her small coastal hometown of Camena to investigate a series of mysterious radio signals. There are new features – including a walkie-talkie conversation system – a strange cult attempting to open a portal between worlds, and more. All will be revealed when Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals hits Switch in July.

Cult of the Lamb, Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon and A Little to the Left DLC
In addition to all the new releases – which ended with a short-lived montage of Paper Trail, Chants of Sennar, Brotato, Escape Academy: Complete Edition, Five Nights at Freddys: Security Break, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and Little Kitty, Big City – Nintendo also took a few minutes to showcase upcoming DLCs for a number of previously released indie games.
Tidy-em-up puzzler A Little to the Left, for example, launches its paid Cupboards and Drawers DLC in June, adding 25 new puzzles, new artwork, and storylines. Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, meanwhile, is bringing its free Puzzlers Pack DLC to Switch this “spring,” adding two new playable characters, new puzzle-like Quandry challenges, 20 new Race Mod Hats to purchase from Mr. Hat and new Relics from the Chester Shop.

And finally, Cult of the Lamb’s free Relics of the Old Faith update arrives on April 24th. This adds “dozens” of new items to the dungeon crawler management sim, alongside new relics, enemies, and remixed dungeons guarded by new versions of the base game’s four Guardian Bishops. It also includes new cult buildings and followers to recruit, a new quest to unlock, and new Permadeath, Gauntlet, and Boss-rush modes playable after completing the game.
