  1. I’ve came across so many Nintendo GameCube fanboys and sega Dreamcast fanboys who say PlayStation 2 had nothing revolutionary and said ps2 lacked cartoony and innovative unique games I mean I guess mister misquote, katamiri damacy, sky gunner, ape escape 2 and 3, Maximo 1 and 2, ratchet and clank trilogy, sly Cooper trilogy, jak and daxter trilogy and many more I guess that’s not enough for them I hate normies who think all ps2 has is gta, god of war, metal gear solid and I heard Xbox fanboys say all the exclusives went to Xbox consoles when they got remastered ya ok so I guess zone of the Enders, metal gear solid 3, devil may cry trilogy and final fantasy x I guess those are the only ps2 exclusive that exist according to them ? ya I’m gonna make a ps2 exclusives playlist to show how good ps2 really is such a overatted and underrated console in the same time like serouisly it was first console to have more than 4 players and no one mentions that and had great online exclusives like socom, final fantasy 11, monster hunter online, resident evil outbreak, ratchet deadlocked but obviously all ps2 is known for is gta and being successful for dvd smh also apparently shadow of the colossus is not revolutionary according to Sega and Nintendo fanboys and Xbox fanboys plus I’ve seen some people who think shadow of the colossus is a ps4 game because of the dumb remake they didn’t even know it’s a ps2 title I just hate how no Sony fanboys gave much of a danm for ps2 exclusives yet once there’s ps4 then they want to make a big deal ?

  2. 8:00 The software renderer of the original Half Life had something like that too where pixel scale would go from 1X to 2X during a big event like an explosion or large rush of enemies on screen. I kind of wish more games had that option of Variable Processing when frame rates get unstable or very low.

  3. First they came out with a Crash Bandicoot remake. Then they came out with the Spyro remake. Now they're pushing out a Friends of Mineral Town remake. All I need is a SkyGunner remake, and my life will be complete. If all they do is get rid of the lag, I'm sold.

  4. How can you make the game look so sharp? Emulation? Because on original hardware it looks like ass on modern TV's, and even worse when I turn on performance mode to avoid slow downs. Seriously it looks so blurry I barely can read the text on screen.

  5. Thank you SO MUCH for doing a review for this game!

I discovered it back when PS2 demo disks were a thing. Then, my dad bought the full game when SUNCOAST was another thing. Played the daylights out of it, but it was frustrating because I could save between chapters, for some reason! Other than that and the occasional lag, I love the mess out of this game! The world is imaginative and charming, the characters and VO work are awesome (my favorite is Rival, with Femme and Copain tied in second place), the story was pretty straightforward, the music is ERMEGERD amazing, and the gameplay and graphics were insanely smooth!

I wish each character was given a little more depth, but hey I can write fanfiction for that. Lol

  6. Wow, that's so cool that they'd allow you to drop the entire game down to 240p to save on processing. I might have even checked it out for novelty's sake even if it didn't improve performance.

  7. Have it in my collection but only got it like a year ago. Look forward to checking it out. I wish this game were made on the GC or Xbox instead though, would have most likely resulted in no slowdown if so, easier to program for and simply more processing power.

  8. I miss skygunner. It was the first game ive ever played while spending a few hours at narita airport in 2000, they had a playstation daycare for kids with skygunner as one of the demos.

  9. I remember watching the game trailer/opening on G4 when I was a kid, I was already obsessed with the game before I even had a PS4. It was my first game on the console, and I loved it to no end. I recently got hit with a wave a nostalgia and wanted to listen to the opening again, which brought me to this video. I'm glad it's getting some love now because my friends at the time just didn't understand it.

  10. This game runs SPECTACULARLY well on PCSX2. If you have a PS2 to get the BIOS off of, and a copy of Skygunner to get an ISO from, you can enjoy the game in high definition, as in, actually rendering in high definition, at 60 frames per second smoothly, none of that annoying slowdown at all!
